Toronto Brain Health currently has full-time opportunities! We are looking for psychologists (registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario), with a passion for excellence to join our team. We have an established referral base for psychological and neuropsychological assessments as well as for psychological and neurocognitive treatment.

About us:

Toronto Brain Health provides assessment and treatment for concussion, acquired brain injury, ADHD, psychological conditions, age-related changes, and early dementia, using scientifically validated methods. We also accept third-party referrals and conduct independent medical examinations. We are committed to providing high quality, evidence-based services to adults and older adults. COVID:

Toronto Brain Health is a paperless practice with a fully integrated digital platform which includes access to secure video, forms and outcome measures, scheduling, clinical notes, etc. Assessment and treatment services are delivered both in-person and/or online.

Job type:

Independent Contractor, as needed basis.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in psychology or specialist HBA/ HBSc program in mental health, neuropsychology, or a related field.
  • Coursework in psychometrics/psychological/neuropsychological assessment or equivalent education in psychology.
  • At least two years of experience providing neuropsychological testing.
  • Experience and training administering neuropsychological tests in adults, such as WAIS-IV, WASI, WMS-IV, CVLT-II/III, HVLT-R, BVMT-R, DKEFS, REY-O, WRAT-V, JOL, Ruff 2&7, WCST, various validity measures, and others.
  • Experience working with adult clients with traumatic brain injury and various forms of acquired brain injury. Experience working with ADHD, learning disabilities and older adults with dementia, is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, EMR systems, test scoring software.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a client-oriented focus required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.• Strong ability to work independently and manage arising situations during the testing process with good judgement when to seek consultation with the supervising neuropsychologist.
  • Work well under the supervision of a registered neuropsychologist.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada on an ongoing basis and professional proficiency in the English language. Fluency in other languages is an asset.
  • Ability to provide in-person services at our clinic in Toronto. Psychometric testing is completed entirely in-person. We follow protocols to limit the transmission of COVID including wearing of masks, temperature taking, symptom-screens.
  • Availability to work during standard business hours, on as needed basis, with flexibility for relatively infrequent evening appointments.
